Char Campos Perez, AMFT, APCC, is a therapist committed to creating liberatory, affirming spaces where healing is not about “fixing” people, but about honoring their truth. They specialize in working with BIPOC, Queer, and Trans communities, survivors of domestic and sexual violence, undocumented and first-generation immigrants, and highly sensitive or marginalized individuals. For Char, therapy is a tool for resilience, reclamation, and collective healing—where pain born from oppression is recognized as a natural response to unjust systems, not a flaw within.

Their therapeutic approach integrates Relational-Cultural Therapy, interpersonal neurobiology, decolonial frameworks, and trauma-informed care. Drawing from both lived and professional experience, Char brings depth, compassion, and cultural humility to each session. They provide bilingual therapy (English/Spanish) and are deeply attuned to the intersections of race, gender, sexuality, class, and migration in shaping emotional well-being.

Before entering clinical practice, Char worked extensively in community organizing, youth development, and nonprofit leadership, supporting movements for immigrant rights, gender justice, and disability justice. These experiences ground their practice in values of equity, dignity, and sustainability. With every client, Char’s goal is to co-create space for resilience, connection, and the reclaiming of wholeness.
